Join us for a 3-part series for our AESP CARE Book Club meeting this fall, hosted by The Shared Space Project.

We want to try something different this time and split up one book into three parts (so we have time for some amazing conversations!)

The meeting dates will be October 2, October 23 and November 13. You do not have to attend all three meetings to participate! Join us for as many discussions as you can.

October 2 – Chapters 1-3
October 23 – Chapters 4-6
November 13 – Chapters 7- end

The Sum of Us by Heather McGhee explores how racism harms not only people of color but society as a whole. Through stories and research, McGhee shows how policies and decisions driven by racial division often result in lost opportunities and resources for everyone. Her central message is that when people work together across racial and cultural differences, communities become stronger and everyone benefits.
