How Eco-Financing & E-Commerce Can Scale Equitable Decarbonization

June 29 @ 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM EDT

Event Details

Brief Description: Over the next year, low and moderate income consumers will make an average of 19 energy-related purchases for their households. Knowing that 80% of consumers start their purchasing process online, this panel of energy efficiency program administrators will share how they’re leveraging e-commerce to help make high-efficiency purchases easy and affordable for underserved communities by overcoming key market barriers related to information, high incremental costs, and upfront capital.

3 Learning Objectives / Key Takeaways:
– Discuss the role of low-interest, low-risk financing in enabling LMI consumers to access high efficiency, low-carbon appliances and HVAC products
– Recall ways that e-commerce platforms can enable new partnerships with midstream actors that can drive down incremental costs for consumers who need it most
– Justify why it is critical to remove all market barriers to program participation
