Description:
The road to decarbonization will involve moving towards widespread electrification powered by renewable energy. Crucial to this scenario is demand response and one key, still largely untapped source of load flexibility lies in water heating. Join AESP and the Advanced Water Heating Initiative for a presentation on the latest research demonstrating the potential of smart, connected, efficient heat pump water heaters at both the residential and commercial levels, to help shift electrical demand to off-peak times helping and provide crucial flexibility and balance to the future grid.
By participating in this webinar, attendees should be able to:
• Discuss the potential for HPWH to serve as grid assets in residential applications
• Communicate about the first commercial heat pump water heater field studies currently underway
• Define best practices in setting up demand response programs with heat pump water heaters
