DER Aggregation Series – Creative Market-Based DER Aggregation Approaches
February 2 @ 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM EST
Session #2 – Creative Market-Based DER Aggregation Approaches for Capturing Demand-Side Resources for Resiliency and Reliability
With looming climate change issues increasingly stressing the power grid, DER aggregation efforts are more and more becoming a central element of resource planning horizons in several US regions aimed at supporting grid operations considering continuous and severe weather events. This session will focus on creative DER aggregation resource efforts in California and elsewhere driven by DER aggregation companies operating across multiple markets – including the small and large commercial, industrial, and residential market sectors. With significant advances in DER aggregation techniques and approaches delivered through third-party implementers, an increasing number of customers can deploy these resources and meaningfully contribute to state and regional efforts aimed at stabilizing the power grid.
