DEI Workshop 1 will consist of three courses.
Course One: What is DEI?
This course will address the definitions of the terms that make up the acronym DEI and add J for justice and explore DEI versus JEDI. This course will examine how each of the words in the acronym work together and how they look within an organization when fully present.
After this course, you will be able to:
- Summarize the meaning of DEI/JEDI
- Examine how each of the elements of DEI/JEDI work and the benefits of each
- Illustrate how an organization functions when operating with DEI/JEDI principles
Course Two: How to Assess DEI/JEDI within an Organization
This course will focus on reviewing DEI terms and how to access our personal knowledge and organizational placement on the DEI space.
After this course, you will be able to:
- Define DEI vocabulary terms
- Assess our role in DEI growth
- Identify organizational traits to assess DEI implementation levels
Course Three: How to Development a DEI Organizational Plan
This course will teach how to make a custom organizational DEI plan.
After this course, you will be able to:
- Recognize the organizational areas to address for an affective DEI/JEDI plan over various periods from 90 days to 5 years.
- Develop a comprehensive custom plan for organizations per employee size and other demographics
- Examine the self-role within the DEI journey of organizational planning.
*Attendees must earn an 70% or higher on the final course test in order to earn 0.4 CEUs.

Scott Alan Davis is the Vice President of Inclusion and Economic Development at SEEL, LLC. Scott’s career has spanned throughout community development, specifically focusing on holistic community planning and development and capacity building.

Cancellations received after the cutoff date and no-shows will not receive a refund (cash or points).
