AESP Rocky Mountain Chapter – Evenings with Energy Experts – Demand Flexibility and Decarbonization

September 21 @ 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM MST

Event Details

On Wednesday, September 21st from 6 to 8pm RM AESP will be holding an exciting Evenings with Energy Experts networking and educational event in Boulder. The evening will kick off with light refreshments and networking from 6 to 7 pm, followed with our talk and conversation on demand flexibility and decarbonization from 7 to 8 pm.

We are limiting attendance to 15-20 people to ensure quality time for networking, discussion and conversation. Our vision for this series is to allow the up and coming generation of energy industry professionals to meet and learn from industry veterans, gain new insights and ideas to apply in their work, and meet other RM AESP members with similar interests.

Dave Alspector of Tierra will discuss how demand side management (DSM) portfolios have evolved to become a critical component of utilities’ decarbonization strategy and provide clean, reliable and affordable energy to their customers. For decades, energy efficiency programs have served as the foundation of utility DSM portfolios with the primary objective of meeting regulatory energy savings goals. And now, utilities are using their DSM portfolios to create greater load flexibility to address growing system peaks and facilitate the integration of clean energy sources. Dave will discuss his experience supporting utilities in AZ and NC, and compare how they have used innovative demand response, load management, energy storage, and electrification programs within their DSM portfolios to address these challenges and make DSM a successful part of their decarbonization strategy.

Please include number of years in the industry and why you would like to attend. Click REGISTER to reserve your spot now!
