Utilities Connect is a dedicated Special Interest Group within AESP created exclusively for professionals working in electric and gas utilities. Utilities Connect serves as a confidential, collaborative space where utility peers can tackle emerging challenges in energy operations, workforce development, regulatory compliance, customer programs, and decarbonization strategies.
Born out of the highly regarded Utilities Connect workshop, this group continues the spirit of utility-to-utility knowledge sharing—now with a year-round format that enables deeper relationship building, recurring discussions, and actionable peer exchange.
Utility professionals often face siloed challenges, limited peer networking outside of vendor events, and a lack of spaces tailored solely to operational issues and internal workforce struggles unique to utilities.
This group aims to:
- Create a trusted, vendor-free peer community.
- Surface and share scalable solutions to common utility pain points.
- Elevate emerging best practices across operations and workforce management.
- Strengthen the voice of utilities within AESP and the broader energy ecosystem.
