Angie Ostaszewski

Angie Ostaszewski

Senior Program Supervisor, Energy Efficiency, Ameren Illinois

Since 2016, Angie Ostaszewski has worked for Ameren Illinois in their communications, charitable giving, and energy efficiency groups. In her current role as Senior Program Supervisor, she leads program strategy and innovation as well as management of the Market Development Initiative. Outside of work, Angie is also grateful to serve on Illinois Central College Foundation and Peoria Chamber of Commerce boards.

She graduated #1 in her class at Bradley University's MBA program, and prior to that studied Economics and Sociology at Knox College. Most recently, she is the recipient of the 2022 AESP Diversity & Inclusion Leadership Award, the 2022 Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance Rising Star Award, and the 2022 Ameren Illinois Presidents’ Award for Excellence in Diversity & Inclusion.

Sr. Manager, Utility and Government Rebates, Home Depot

Art Christianson is a seasoned professional with nearly two decades of experience in energy efficiency. As Senior Manager of Utility and Government Rebates at The Home Depot, Art excels in the management of consumer utility and government rebate programs throughout the U.S., spanning a wide array of product categories. His ability to foster robust partnerships with utilities, implementers, suppliers, and industry groups has been instrumental in shaping and enhancing various program models. 

With a consistent track record of excellence in program management and customer enrichment, he remains a driving force within the energy efficiency field.  Art is an alumnus of the Georgia Institute of Technology and proudly serves as a valued member of the Board of Directors for both AESP (Association of Energy Services Professionals) and Habitat for Humanity of Georgia, demonstrating his commitment to community and industry advancement.

Deb Dynako

Deb Dynako

Director of Partnership Development, Slipstream

Deb builds momentum for energy efficiency and carbon reduction measures for the benefit of all. An enthusiastic dot-connector, she cultivates relationships with utilities, community stakeholders, vendors, implementers, and various organizations to find gateways that bring innovative energy efficiency and decarbonization opportunities to market faster.

Her strategic thinking, communication skills, and opportunity identification align well with her marketing, outreach, and content development capabilities to bring vision to fruition. Importantly, Deb fulfills Slipstream's mission to serve disinvested communities, and engender energy efficiency and sustainability, equitably.

Derek Okada

Derek Okada

Senior Fellow, Energy Solutions

Derek Okada is a Senior Fellow with Energy Solutions' Business Strategy Team. Derek has over 25 years of strategic planning, financial planning and analysis, and project/program management experience from his roles in the energy consulting/utility, media/publishing, information technology, automotive and financial services industries with several Fortune 500 companies.  Prior to joining Energy Solutions, Derek managed a team of 11 program managers and support staff responsible for administering Southern California Edison's Energy Efficiency programs serving the Commercial, Industrial, Agricultural and Public Sector markets and Finance programs. Derek also previously led SCE's Demand Side Management Planning & Integration team that provided strategic and policy guidance for SCE's EE, Demand Response, and Low Income programs.  

Derek previously worked for SCE, Los Angeles Times, Ingram Micro, Toyota Motor Sales, USA and Arthur Andersen LLP and has a B.A. in Economics from UCLA and a M.A. in Public Policy Studies/Economic Regulation from the University of Chicago.

Donald (Don) McPhail

Donald (Don) McPhail

Vice President of Product, Uplight

Donald has over 15 years of experience working with utilities and vendors in the energy sector across the U.S., Australia, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. He leads the end-to-end value chain for Uplight’s Residential Business Line serving as the nexus between product, sales, engineering, implementation, marketing, customer success, and operations for Uplight’s solutions across behavioral energy efficiency, rates, marketplace, load flexibility, and electrification.

He's previously served in leadership positions for member-based and not-for-profit organizations, including the Clean Energy Council (Australia), Australian Energy Storage Alliance, the Institute of Engineers Australia, and House With No Steps. Within AESP he has been a member of planning committees and a presenter at Annual and Summer Con since 2020.

Michael (Mike) Barg

Michael (Mike) Barg

Vice President of Strategy and Partnerships, Shifted Energy

Mike is the Vice President of Strategy and Partnerships at Shifted Energy. In this role, he leads Shifted’s strategic and commercial efforts across North America. Shifted develops and deploys industry leading grid-interactive device software and controls to help partners build and rapidly scale Virtual Power Plants (“VPP”). Simultaneously, we empower residents with the opportunity to save money and support clean energy in their communities.

Prior to Shifted, Mike was a Fellow in McKinsey’s Sustainability Practice, where he advised energy, technology, and financial companies globally on topics including decarbonization, energy, and mobility. After his time at McKinsey, he helped build an electric mobility company called Motor, a wholly owned subsidiary of AES, which focused on making it easy to get an EV. Mike holds an M.S. in Environmental Science and an M.B.A. from The University of Michigan.

Louis O'Berry, PEM, BPI BA, VA MHVA

Louis O'Berry, PEM, BPI BA, VA MHVA

Energy Services and Solutions Administrator, Rappahannock Electric Cooperative

Louis O’Berry serves as the Energy Services and Solutions Administrator at Rappahannock Electric Cooperative. Louis has held various positions over a seven year tenure centered on energy efficiency and renewable energy. He is responsible for the development, implementation, and operation of all member facing services including Virginia’s first on bill financing energy efficiency program. He also provides oversight and support in other areas such as net metering interconnections, demand response activities, distributed energy resources, and electric transportation. Louis possess more than 25 years of experience in the HVAC and energy efficiency spaces.

He holds and maintains a VA Master HVAC tradesman license, is a BPI Building Analyst, and a Professional Energy Manager (PEM) certification from the Institute of Energy Professionals. Louis serves on the Board of Directors for the Local Energy Alliance Program (LEAP) and is currently studying business administration at Liberty University.

Luther is a Director of Advanced Energy at TRC and a board member of the AESP California Chapter. His commitment to energy and the environment was born from his love of the outdoors and took root as a high school science teacherHe has been applying the principles he developed as a management consultant to the industry for over 20 years, developing and implementing solutions for energy efficiency, distributed energy resources and transportation and building electrification

Luther's experience includes serving on the industry boards of the Association of Energy Engineers, California Efficiency and Demand Management Council (CEDMC) and the AESP-CA chapter and charity boards of Ride4aReason and Dolce Vita Cycling Club. Luther’s goal as an AESP board member is to support our workforce from within as we collaborate to transform and integrate the energy industry.

Ms. Quinn Parker has over 15 years of professional experience, including regulatory finance and analytics, as well as program research, design, planning, implementation, and strategic planning. Ms. Parker is CEO of Encolor, a firm committed to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Encolor provides inclusive strategies and thoughtful guidance, helping clients achieve their operational and equity goals.

Ms. Parker is a Certified Diversity Professional (CDP) and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Ms. Parker holds an M.B.A. from California State University, Dominguez Hills and a B.A. from Loyola Marymount University. Ms. Parker is an experienced trainer and facilitator. She has delivered trainings virtually and in person around the country at industry conferences such as the Association of Energy Services Professionals, Energy Thought Summit, and Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance. She has also delivered trainings for education leaders such as EUCI.
