New Ontario-based presence will unite energy professionals across North America
Toronto, ON — Aug. 14, 2025 — The Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP) is gearing up for a major milestone: its official launch as a registered Canadian non-profit in 2026. Headquartered in Toronto, the new entity will serve as AESP’s formal presence in Canada, working in close partnership with the U.S.-based AESP team to advance energy efficiency, demand flexibility, and clean energy innovation across North America.
This expansion underscores AESP’s commitment to building a stronger, more connected community of energy professionals. By establishing a Canadian non-profit, AESP will be able to provide localized member services, expand training and professional development opportunities, and foster cross-border collaboration to address shared challenges and opportunities in the evolving energy landscape.

In the lead-up to its 2026 debut, AESP will be working with Canadian energy leaders, utilities, government agencies, and solution providers to identify national priorities and opportunities for collaboration. The Ontario-based presence will ensure that Canadian members receive tailored support while benefiting from the full strength of AESP’s North American network.
As part of the launch, AESP released its inaugural Canadian Board of Directors in early 2026. This group of distinguished leaders from across Canada’s energy sector will guide the organization’s strategic priorities, represent the interests of Canadian members, and strengthen connections to the broader AESP community. AESP Canada will be led by a Board of Directors representing the breadth, expertise, and global importance of the Canadian clean energy community.
